What We Do
Solar Info is an independent solar panel information portal and marketplace. We help Irish homeowners compare SEAI-registered solar installers, understand grants and incentives, calculate potential savings, and get free quotes.
We don't install solar panels — we connect you with verified professionals who do.
Our Data
Our solar yield data is sourced from PVGIS (Photovoltaic Geographical Information System) and PureVolt. Grant information is sourced from SEAI (seai.ie). Feed-in tariff rates are sourced from individual electricity suppliers. All data is reviewed and updated regularly.
How We Create Content
All content on Solar Info is produced by our editorial team — a small group focused on solar energy, Irish energy policy, and consumer guidance. We are independent: no installer, energy company, or equipment manufacturer reviews or approves our content before publication.
Featured installer listings are always labelled and have no influence on our guides, calculator data, or equipment comparisons. For full details, see our editorial policy.

Research
We gather data from primary sources — SEAI, PVGIS, CRU, Revenue, and electricity suppliers.
Verify
Key claims (grant amounts, VAT rates, feed-in tariffs) are cross-referenced against official sources. Estimated figures are clearly labelled.
Write in plain English
We explain solar topics without jargon. Where technical terms are necessary, we define them.
Review quarterly
Published content is reviewed at least once per quarter, and immediately when a material change occurs (e.g. Budget announcements, grant changes).

Every guide includes a Sources section linking to the primary data used.
